Jerry Coleman

Jerry Coleman was born officially in 1987 in Marmande (Lot and Garonne) as part of a super rock'n'roll band and spent quite a few great years in that region, where he often still visits friends.

Stero Storrock, Martin Neish were there and we shared our musical experiences ; with Martin, we were on the road between Bordeaux and the Landes coast. We still recall being the support band for the Byrds in Bordeaux (Hey Mister Tambourine Man)  and two tours of the Alps with The Country Lines.

So many good times up until the death of my father in 1992.

Then, I decided to go it alone on the road, but in the end it did not last long because I met Jérôme Stiefbold, known as Jéjo, from Arcachon.
Jéjo has many qualities including being an inspired and inspiring guitarist. We still play together, both in and around Arcachon and elsewhere. Our repertoire is very broad and we find it difficult to make a decent studio recording because we never play the same song twice in the same way. Maybe we will get there in the end.

In 1995, I moved to Nantes after meeting a Show Producer (Bernard Bourgault). He gave me the opportunity to work on several different shows (themed around trappers, pirates, cowboys….) all over France but also in Switzerland, the Canary Islands and Spain.

Around that time I also recorded a Bluegrass Album for Bernard Bourgault with Jéjo and Charby in Gigi’s studio (Liverpool).

The years go by between Nantes and Arcachon with lots of good laughs, along with bands like Ranch Party, rich with many amazing musical experiences with Nantes musicians, including Vassili, Gigi, Patrice Canton, Gilles and many more.

Around the musicians there are the technicians who take care of our instruments or sort out a microphone or a lead or something. Michel at Nantes Musique and guitar maker Patrice Blanc are eminent examples.

Today, the Sustainers have been going since 1992, CashFlow since 2007 and the Delta Brothers since 2010.

A recording plan in Ben Briden’s studio in Nantes is in the pipeline, as well as a few seaside concerts at Ile d’Yeu.
